What is Sexual Harassment

 

 

1.      The definition of Sexual harassment includes such unwelcome sexually determined behaviour (whether directly or by implication) as:

 

a.       Physical contact and advances.

b.      A demand or request for sexual favours.

c.       Sexually coloured remarks.

d.      Showing pornography.

e.       Any other unwelcome physical; verbal conduct of sexual nature.

 

2.      Whenever any lady/ woman of NBRC among the students/Employees is subjected to such sexual harassment as defined above, she can approach Mr. K.V.S. Kameswara Rao, Registrar, the person in-charge for redressal of the grievance.

 

3.      The person-in-charge along with the Director would initiate an action with the help of the Complaints Committee whose Members are as follows:

 

1.      Prof V. Ravindranath, Director, NBRC    - Chairperson

2.      Dr. V. Rema, Scientist V, NBRC                         - Member

3.      Dr. Pankaj Seth, Scientist IV, NBRC                   - Member

4.      Dr. Nandini C. Singh, Scientist III, NBRC           - Member

5.      Dr. Anirban Basu, Scientist III, NBRC                 - Member

6.      Smt. Pooja Gosain, Office Assistant, NBRC        - Member

7.      Smt. Beena, Office Assistant, NBRC                   - Member

8.      Smt. Usha Rao, Journalist, Times of India             - Member

9.      Mr. K.V.S.Kameswara Rao, Off CAO, NBRC  - Member

 

4.      The person-in-charge along with the Director would follow up the action for redressal of the grieviance within a reasonable time.
