About DeLCON Electronic Library Consortium

The Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India has launched its e-Library Consortium since January 2009. In the beginning the 'DeLCON-Consortium' comprises of 8 DBT Institutions, DBT (HQ) and ICGEB. Recently the DeLCON Consortium expanded the 1st phase and included 17 New DeLCON sub members (15 NER Institutions, BIRAP and Wellcome Trust/DBT India Alliance). The aim of DeLCON is to maximize access to a large number of high impact journals by the Scientist at the member institutions.

DeLCON comprises the following Twenty Seven Institutions:

• National Institute of Immunology (NII) - New Delhi
• National Centre for Cell Science (NCCS) - Pune
• Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) - Bhubaneshwar
• Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (ISBD) - Imphal
• Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD) - Hyderabad
• Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) - Thiruvananthapuram
• International Centre for Genetics and Engineering Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi
